Today we had  a lot of life on sea! Even though it was raining and bit windy, so that it proofs that it doesn’t matter what kind of weather it is!  Every type of weather is good for whale watching but maybe not any kind of weather is good for someone to go out on sea, specially people that get sea sick easilly… We saw 5 White-beaked dolphins playing so close to the boat, that we could see their eyes! Such beautiful creatures! They also had one calf with them and they were jumping around, enjoying this fun company.

Then we stopped at the Puffin Island, Akurey and we saw so many birds! Northern Fulmars, Gannets, Kittiwakes , Arctic Terns, Sea gulls and of course Puffins!  Then we kept sailing further out on Faxaflói bay and we saw 3-4 Harbour porpioses and also a few Minky whales!   On our way home it started to rain even more but that didn’t stop our photographers for taking pictures of the whales.

We had beautiful weather today, sunshine,blue sky but a bit windy! But that didn’t stop Andrea! Andrea went all her tours and they saw few minke whales and white-beaked Dolphins. But unfortuntely the Rósin didn’t go, it was to windy for her!

We also went  puffin tours today and we started this morning by letting two schools join us!;) We had a alot fun! There is so much life on Akurey and the kids enjoyed seeing all the puffins flying around them.

Unfortunately this morning’s Whale watching tour has been cancelled until 16:55  because of unfavorable weather out on Faxaflói bay. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause and hope that the weather will turn on our side so we can return out on sea on our whale watching . Our reception office at the harbor is open today as usual until 8pm where we welcome everyone interested in our tours or just curious pedestrians.

But all of the Puffin tours is still going and we are seeing a lot of them! They are sooo cute!! And of course the Sea Angling tour is also still going!

Despite the wind today this has turned out to be a fine day for Puffin watching. There were thousands of birds on the island, the sea and in the air, so we got a good and close view.

Today was wonderful! We went three tours on Andrea and we saw a lot of White-beaked dolphins and Minke whales. The weather was gorgeous, the sun shined all day! And in the end of the day all the ships blew their horns at the Old Harbour because of the Reykjavík Arts Festival. That was so cool!

On our 08:30 – 10:30 we wen’t on school trips and the kids absolutely loved the Puffins!:D We  went on Akurey and we saw thousands of Puffins, and few Cormants  and Seagulls.

This morning we started off by taking three groups of 5th graders out to see the Puffins. These school trips are always enjoyable, the kids are very curious about the wildlife and eager to learn. Biologist Fannar from Reykjavík Zoo and Family Park accompanies us on these tours and he has a lot to share and has his way of inspiring the kids. 

We also went out at 12:30 and 14:30 on our scheduled tours and our passengers on these were actually no less eager to see the Puffins than the school children in the morning:) The Puffins didn´t mind though it was a bit windy out today so neither did we.

The wind was too strong today so we decided to go on Andrea, Iceland’s biggest whale watching boat, since it is steadier than Rósin and better suitable in a weather like this. We saw a few Harbour porpoises swimming around, but this was the only trip we went on today. Unfortunately we had to chancel the Puffin tour and the Express

Tomorrow is looking better and we are looking forward to go out to see the cute Puffins and Whales! )

Our Puffin tours were excellent today though. Thousands of puffins were seen out on the beautiful Akurey island out in the Faxaflói bay.

Tour at 10:00

Such a beautiful day today! The sun is shining and the sea is wonderfully calm. We sailed out to Faxaflói bay to start our search for some whales. But we didn’t even have to look for wild life, it found us There was so much life in the bay! Several minke whales, pods of harbour porpoises and countless birds. Gannets plunged into the water like arrows all around us, feeding. There seemed to be plenty of fish about because all the animals were busy feeding. It was a very beautiful, very lively tour in perfect weather conditions

The weather was still gorgeous on our second trip. Unfortunately the whales were shy this time. We spotted a few harbour porpoises but just for a few moments. Therefore our passengers received free tickets to try again another time.
